Is OKX available in my country? (2026)

Short answer: OKX's global platform serves most countries. According to OKX's own Risk & Compliance Disclosure (updated July 8, 2026), it does not serve Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, sanctioned countries, certain U.S. jurisdictions and all U.S. territories. U.S. residents use the separate OKX US platform. Some countries, including the UK, Australia, Brazil and South Korea, get a reduced product range.
Countries where OKX's global platform isn't available
- Afghanistan, Canada, Cuba, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, North Korea, Syria, Uzbekistan
- The Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
- Certain jurisdictions within the United States, and U.S. territories including Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands

What about the United States?
U.S. residents can't use OKX's global platform. OKX relaunched a separate U.S. exchange, OKX US, in April 2025, with its own terms and products. The referral code on this site is for the global platform, not OKX US.
Regional OKX platforms
In some markets OKX runs locally regulated entities, for example in the European Economic Area, the UAE, Singapore and Australia. When you sign up, the country you pick decides which entity serves you, which products you see, and which welcome offers apply.
How to check for yourself
- Read Section 3 of OKX's Risk & Compliance Disclosure, which OKX updates when rules change.
- Start registration and select your real country. If it isn't supported, OKX won't let you continue.
- Check which products appear in your account after verification.

Is OKX available in the USA?
Not the global platform. U.S. residents use OKX US, a separate exchange relaunched in 2025.
Is OKX available in the UK?
Yes, but derivatives, some CeFi products and P2P may be restricted, according to OKX's disclosure.
Is OKX available in Canada?
No. Canada is on OKX's list of restricted jurisdictions.
Is OKX available in Australia?
Yes, with derivatives and some CeFi products restricted.
Is OKX available in India?
No. India is on OKX's list of restricted jurisdictions.
Can I use OKX with a VPN?
No. Using a VPN to get around location restrictions breaks OKX's terms and can get the account frozen.
