How crypto exchange referral codes work
A referral code connects a signup to a referral or affiliate program. Depending on the exchange and the current campaign, it may affect eligibility for a reward, fee discount, or another offer. A code by itself does not guarantee a bonus.
Referral code vs. referral link
A referral link usually contains or carries the referral attribution automatically. A referral code may need to be entered during signup. If you already have an account, a code may not be attachable afterward; check the exchange’s official rules rather than assuming you can add it later.
What to check before signing up
- Whether your country or region is eligible.
- Whether the offer is for new users only.
- Whether identity verification, a deposit, or qualifying trades are required.
- Whether the reward is withdrawable cash, a voucher, trading credit, or a fee discount.
- When the offer expires and whether it can be combined with other promotions.
- Whether the referrer receives a commission or other benefit.
Can a referral code save you money?
Sometimes. A fee discount may reduce eligible trading costs, while a promotional bonus may have separate conditions and restrictions. Compare the total cost of using the exchange, including trading fees, spreads, deposit or withdrawal charges, and any required activity. Do not trade more than you otherwise would simply to qualify for a promotion.
We aim to distinguish confirmed terms from unverified claims, link to official rules where possible, and show when an offer was last checked. If a condition cannot be confirmed, we label it as unverified rather than promising a reward.
